Who are we?
Russian Ethnic Representative Council of Victoria (RERC/ Russian Aged Care) is a charity and the leading community organisation founded in 1984. We provide a range of community services with a strong focus on people with CALD background. Our current programs in aged care space include HCP, CHSP and ACVVS, and brokerage services. RERC also acts as an umbrella for a range of community organisations to provide a platform for various cultural initiatives and community events.
About the role
General Manager Community Care is responsible for the leadership and strategic success of the in-home services stream. The role will contribute to and drive critical aspects of organisational transformation to respond to major industry changes, maintain high service quality and enable growth. General Manager Community Care is a member of our Senior Leadership Team and reports to the CEO. Key expectations of the role include:
- Comprehensive practical knowledge of HCP and CHSP program components and related legislation is essential.
- Commitment for achieving contemporary best practice in the community/ home care.
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and sound understanding of clinical governance principles.
- Ability to think strategically and formulate comprehensive plans.
- High level management capability supported by extensive practical experience in a senior management role, developing teams and building team capability, mentoring, supporting and empowering staff, and improving complex business processes.
- Highly capable change agent, driving and facilitating changes at organisational and team level and supporting staff towards achieving required outcomes and maintaining positive and productive work culture.
- Excellent planning and prioritisation skills, at organisational, team and individual level.
- Driver’s License and access to own comprehensively insured and reliable vehicle.
- Fluent Russian is desirable but not essential.
- A satisfactory Police Check record is required prior to commencement.
- Experience in working with CALD clients is desirable.
About you
Qualifications and experience relevant to the role include:
- Tertiary qualification in health, allied health or disability.
- Current registration with the AHPRA is desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior role with comparable scope and accountability.
- Strong leadership and management background, with demonstrated experience in leading the delivery of a range of aged care or disability services including responsibility for service performance, operational, staff and budget management.
- Previous experience in managing clinical services.
- Postgraduate qualification in business management is desirable.
