About us:

The Russian Ethnic Representative Council of Victoria (RERC), founded in 1984, is a leading charitable organisation that represents the interests of Russian-speaking communities in Victoria. Our mission is to empower elderly individuals, people with disabilities, and disadvantaged communities from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.
We provide vital services, including CHSP (Commonwealth Home Support Programme), the Community Visitors Scheme, aged care brokerage services, and a variety of community awareness initiatives. As a hub for cultural programs, RERC is proud to promote social inclusion and community engagement across Victoria.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team on a casual basis. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and assistance to older people, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life in their own homes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support elderly clients with their daily living activities, promoting independence and
    dignity.
  •  Provide personalised care in accordance with client care plans.
  •  Foster positive relationships with clients and their families, ensuring their needs and preferences are respected.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to deliver care that reflects RERC’s values of inclusivity, respect, and community engagement.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience in community or aged care (or relevant industry experience).
  •  Certificate III in Aged Care (or a similar qualification) is highly desirable.
  •  A customer service mindset with a commitment to delivering excellence in care.
  • A warm, empathetic, and caring approach to supporting elderly clients.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties required in this role.
  • A current Australian driver’s licence and access to a registered, roadworthy vehicle for work purposes.
  • Fluent Russian language skills are highly desirable.
